Amanda is a strange hybrid of an urban planner, choreographer, and community builder. She was with Atlanta's Zoetic Dance Company for thirteen years and has held various positions in local governments and in private foundations.

She loves building worlds on stage and bringing a vision to life that can inspire change in the real world.

Brooke is an award-winning novelist with over a dozen published books and you can find her crooning all over Dallas and Plano at amateur and professional gigs.

Like the musical, her queer daughter found her community at a performing arts school. As her daughter said, “Mom, I found my people.” Brooke wrote this musical to be a fun way for people to think about social issues without being preached at. This is about making people laugh, not a lecture.
